NY Student receives a TelecomPioneers Scholarship

Caitlin McElrath of Saugerties, NY, earned a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 through the 2004 TelecomPioneers Scholarship Program. She was one of 13 recipients selected from among 158 applications submitted by students in the United States and Canada. “Caitlin excelled in the classroom and in the community,” said Stephen Kohn, Vice President of Verizon TelecomPioneers.  “We are proud of her accomplishments and confident that she will continue to achieve excellence in the future.”

Scholarship applicants were judged on community service, school involvement, academic achievement and leadership activities. Ms. McElrath, a senior at Kingston High School, plans to pursue a degree in athletic training at the University of Delaware.
