Each year during the week before Easter, Fort Pitt Chapter
holds their annual Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind. It takes place on
the grounds of the Blind Association's School. Along with clowns,
mascots, service dogs and fellow Pioneers assisting, blind and disabled
children hunt for "Beeping" Easter Eggs. In exchange for baskets of
eggs, the kids are given cuddly animals and treats, all supplies by the
Pioneers. This was our 20th year providing joy and laughter to those
in need. |
