Advisory Board on Track with
Committee Issues
The Verizon TelecomPioneers Advisory Board met
in Philadelphia Sept. 28-29. The members broke into five committees
(Administration, Communications, Development, Finance and
Volunteerism) to discuss major issues facing the group.
See list. In addition, the Board formed a task force to study
membership recruitment. The committees hope to make significant
headway on these issues by year end.
Jim Gadd, CEO of the TelecomPioneers, addressed the Board
Saturday evening. He reported that his staff is heavily involved in
strategic planning with a focus on membership growth,
communications, fundraising and the awards program. He announced
that the new awards program will be unveiled in mid-November. Visit
