Richmond Council paints 100th map!
by: Kathleen Ukrop, president, Richmond Council

On Sept. 21, the Richmond Council of the Old Dominion Chapter painted its 100th USA Map on a school playground. The Pioneers' excitement with this 100th map was increased by the children who were so pleased to have this beautiful map on their school playground. Teachers brought classes out while we were working and held geography quizzes. One teacher promised to bring his class out three times a week until they learned their states. Our Pioneers were delighted that the map was being used as an educational tool while it was being created.
