covered with graffiti. The day was a huge success with lots of hard
work and laughs along with it.

The Life Member spotlight is on...
Leon Davis
A member of the Alexander Graham Bell Chapter's Norva Life
Member Club, Leon Davis retired as a staff engineer from Chesapeake
and Potomac Telephone Co., Washington, DC in 1975 after almost 40
years with the company. Shortly thereafter, he moved
to a small ranch in Grants Pass, Oregon, where he raises beef cattle
and a milk cow. "We have plenty of milk and beef, eat well and enjoy
the great salmon and steelhead fishing out here," said Davis.
Davis is
also an affiliate member of the Rogue Valley Life Member Club of the
Oregon Telephone Pioneers, Chapter No. 31, and has served as
president three times. This
club has been active in the Hug-a-Bear and Adopt-a-highway programs.
Davis and the
Rogue Valley LMC have also supported Habitat for Humanity. According
to Davis, the
Rogue Valley Life Member Club has a membership of about 10% from
companies from other states. Davis turned 90 April 21. |
