Project:Connect launches!
The TelecomPioneers Association is pleased to announce the release of the organization's new signature education project, Project:Connect, after two years of development. Project:Connect combines education with the popularity of video games. Students are challenged to learn lessons in technology by playing games featuring a product or service of the telecommunications industry.
     The seven games are: E-Mail:Connect, Compression:Connect, Fiber Optic:Connect, Cable:Connect, Satellite:Connect, Cellular:Connect, and VoIP:Connect.
“We're pleased to offer youngsters this fun and educational program,” said Marty Lee, president of TelecomPioneers. “with Project:Connect, the principles behind modern telecommunications are at their fingertips.”
Project:Connect targets 4th through 7th graders and is available at no charge to schools, community centers and other organizations. The project is fully funded by the TelecomPioneers Association.
For information on how to get involved with Project:Connect, visit
www.telecompioneers.org and click on Project:Connect, call 1-800-872-5995, or e-mail resource@telecompioneers.org.

Join the TelecomPioneers Family Campers!
Looking for something to do this summer? There are about 50 local TPFC clubs scattered throughout the United States and seven Canadian provinces where members camp together almost every month. Some campouts include as few as eight families and others have as many as 40 families. When winter weather prevents camping, members get together for other monthly activities. Local clubs also get together with other members from four or five states for regional rallies. Visit http://www.tpfc.net/.
